
16U and 18U Columbus Chill Hockey Club Teams
Tryouts Announced for June 1st and 2nd, 2019
The Columbus Chill Hockey Club is one of the top Ohio Pre/Post hockey programs for Columbus area High School players.
Under the guidance and leadership of Coach Dave Caruso and RJ Umberger, the Columbus Chill gives players the opportunity to learn from professional coaches. Players will be challenged through a proven training schedule to help prepare them for their high school season. Off-ice activities will include informational seminars with a Sport Psychologist, nutritionist and conditioning specialists to enhance each player’s physical, mental and emotional development.
The CCHC will field an 18U and a 16U team. The teams will run from mid-August to late October. The Chill plan to play 10 - 15 games within 4 hours from Columbus.
The 2019 schedule will be finalized in the upcoming weeks. In 2018, the teams traveled to 3 tournaments (Sylvania and Cleveland twice).
Estimated season cost (includes games, practices and off ice training) - $1200 - $1500
To register for tryouts:
(1) Register the player with USA hockey (usahockey.com) to obtain a valid membership number for the 2019 - 2020 hockey season.
(2) All players need to register with CCYHA by 5/30/2019 prior to tryouts.
- You will need to the complete the Player and Parent Code of Conduct forms, as well as the Lindsay Law requirements as part of the registration process
- If you did not register with CCYHA last year, you must also submit/upload a copy of the player's birth certificate within 48 hours of registration
Tryout fee - $100
It is highly recommended to attend all tryout sessions.
