Girls Hockey Announcement

The Columbus Chill Youth Hockey Association (CCYHA) is pleased to announce and welcome the Easton Youth Hockey Association (EYHA) Lady Dragons into the CCYHA program starting in the 2023-2024 season! CCYHA has supported girls’ teams dating back to 2006 with the Columbus Sting and girls Blue Jackets programs, ranging from 10U to 19U age groups. The alignment of girls travel teams below the Tier I AAA level furthers CCYHA’s mission in first-class development for youth hockey players in central Ohio.

“We are looking forward to the alignment of girls' hockey from 10U to 19U at CCYHA and believe the move will help with the development and growth of the girls game in central Ohio” said Bryon Moore, President at CCYHA. “The leadership and coaching within the girls program will complement our organization very well and we look forward to combining the leadership groups from the existing girls youth hockey teams, Central Ohio Girls Hockey (COGH) girls grassroots program, and our existing coaching staff at CCYHA for the betterment of our youth female hockey players.”

The CCYHA girls program will provide support to Central Ohio Girls Hockey and assist in the girls grassroots initiatives to increase the total number of participants in central Ohio. In addition, CCYHA will continue to work with the AAA Blue Jackets, Blue Jackets Hockey League, Easton Youth Hockey Association, Capital Amateur Hockey Association, and Columbus Ice Hockey Club to further build the foundation in making hockey more accessible for females looking to participate.

Further updates regarding the leadership team, tryout information and teams for the 2023-2024 season will be found at CCYHA.org over the next few months!
