Mack Burton announced as CCYHA Goalie Coach

Coach Mack grew up playing hockey for CCYHA through Bantam and moved on to play three years with Hilliard Hockey Club. Coach then moved to Massachusetts to further his playing career with Governor’s Academy (Independent School League), where he was an all-league selection as well as an assistant captain his senior season. 

Mack then played four years at Colby College in Waterville, ME (NCAA DIII) to wrap up his playing career. After graduation, Mack got right back into coaching at Gilmour Academy and was an assistant & goaltending coach for Gilmour’s 18U & 16U AAA teams. Coach Mack was heavily involved with recruiting, video coaching as well as player development at Gilmour. He also was the Assistant Varsity & Head JV Lacrosse Coach at Gilmour. 

Coach Mack has been back in Columbus for the past year running private lessons, camp and clinics with the Chiller. He is also facilitating the emergence of the Chiller Strength & Conditioning Program located in the North weight room. Mack is also heavily involved with the Chiller’s Specialized Hockey Skills program. This past season Mack served as the goalie coach for New Albany High School, The Columbus Chill 18U & 16U pre-post teams and worked throughout the season with various central Ohio youth hockey teams.
